Lynsey Brubaker is a native of Dinwiddie County, Virginia. She has been a dancer, choreographer, and instructor for most of her life, and many of her routines have won state and national awards. At age 3, she began taking ballet and tap classes at Deborah Ryan’s School of Dance, but soon moved to Gloria’s School of Dance, where she trained under former New York City Rockette, Gloria Dance. In fifth grade, Lynsey moved to Ann Witt School of Dance, where her instructor was a principal ballerina with the Bristol Ballet Company. There, she studied tap, rhythm tap, pointe, jazz, baton, and acrobatics. After high school, she attended Radford University and majored in Elementary Education. She is a full-time Reading Specialist at C. Hunter Ritchie Elementary School. She lives in Warrenton with her husband, Chad, and their 14 year old son, Chase. Lynsey is forever grateful to her wonderfully talented dancers, who have allowed her to pursue her passion for dance for so long. They are the heartbeat of every dance she has created over the past 20 years.
